On Sunday, August 15, 2010, after almost 9 decades, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Dormition of Theotokos at the Historic Monastery of Panagia Soumela in Trapezounda.    

On Monday, August 2, 2010, His All Holiness presided over the Paraklesis Service at Sts. Anargyroi Church of the Valoukli Nursing Home. The service was followed by a conversation with residents and staff of the nursing home.    

On Sunday, August 1, 2010, His All Holiness arrival at Princes Island to preside over the Vespers service at the Patriarchal Monastery of the Transfiguration for the annual children's summer camp. The service was followed by a musical and dance program by the children in attendance.    

On Monday, July 19, 2010, His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was welcomed by His Holiness Maxim, Metropolitan of Sofia and Patriarch of All Bulgaria, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky as well as at the Palace of Holy Synod of the Church of Bulgaria.    

On Sunday, July 18, 2010, His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was officially received by the President of Bulgaria, Georgi Purvanov, at the Presidential Palace in Sofia. During their discussions, President Purvanov expressed his full support for the reopening of the Theological School of Halki.    

His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has issued a message regarding the massive oil spill currently spreading from the ruptured Deepwater Horizon wellhead in the Gulf of Mexico.
